Randy is native to Wayne County growing up in Grantham, NC. He graduated from Southern Wayne high school. He received his associate degree in Applied Science of Opticianry in 1988. He was licensed by NC State Board of Opticianry in 1989. His work background includes working for Clear-Vue Opticians in all six of its locations. After Clear-Vue was acquired he worked for Lenscrafters before deciding to be self-employed and co-owner of Eye 1 Optical. He has extensive training in hard to fit Prescriptions and High Definition Technology.

 He enjoys playing golf, shooting long range and most especially spending time and being with his family. He is married to Sherri and they are the proud parents of Payton. He and his family attend The First Church in Goldsboro and enjoy the fellowship with fellow Christians.
